Wobblers & Toddlers (Ages 1–3 Years)
The Wobbler and Toddler programs at Tomorrow’s Hope Montessori School are thoughtfully designed to support children through a period of rapid growth and development. During this stage, children transition from crawling to walking, begin feeding themselves table foods, develop early language skills, and often start the potty learning process.
Our focus in these classrooms is on fostering independence, confidence, and a sense of order through consistent daily routines and a carefully prepared environment. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, practice self-care skills, and engage with developmentally appropriate Montessori materials that promote coordination, problem-solving, and social interaction.
Our educators serve as gentle guides, supporting each child’s natural curiosity and emerging abilities while nurturing a foundation for future learning.

Curriculum Focus
The Montessori philosophy encompasses four core curriculum areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, and Language. In the Wobbler and Toddler classrooms, these are thoughtfully introduced and tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Additional cognitive and cultural subjects are also integrated to provide a rich and well-rounded early learning experience.
Key areas of focus include:
Practical Life: Encouraging independence through personal care routines, care of the environment, food preparation, grace and courtesy lessons, and the development of both fine and gross motor skills.
Sensorial: Refining and stimulating the five senses through hands-on, exploratory activities designed to build awareness and classification skills.
Mathematics: Laying the foundation for numeracy through activities such as sorting, counting, and recognizing patterns and quantities.
Language Development: Promoting communication through spoken language, vocabulary enrichment, storytelling, poetry, music, and conversation with peers and adults.
Cultural & Cognitive Areas: Introducing topics such as botany, zoology, geography, art, and music, as well as continued grace and courtesy lessons that support social-emotional growth.

Outdoor Exploration
Children in our Wobbler and Toddler programs enjoy daily outdoor time, totaling 90 minutes per day. Our pre-primary playground has been thoughtfully designed to offer a safe, comfortable, and stimulating outdoor experience, with activities that emphasize the development of both gross and fine motor skills, as well as opportunities for imaginative play and social interaction.
